Earworm of the Week

For this week's Earworm of the Week, I chose Nightwish's "Elan" from their 2015 album Endless Forms Most Beautiful, the band's first studio album with Floor Jansen. I knew she was the right fit for the band when they released the live album Showtime, Storytime . I was not disappointed when the band released the first single off Endless Forms Most Beautiful. Floor was neither Tarja nor Anette. She had her own identity as a singer having sung with ReVamp (which her and her bandmates decided to call it quits last year) and before that After Forever. The song has great melodies courtesy of Tuomas Holopainen, super catchy as expected from the musical mastermind.
